As we continue on our journey through the Lenten wilderness, follow Jesus as he lives his 40 days in the desert.
Be open to what emotions today’s illustration invokes for you, what details catch your eye, and consider why you might be affected by it in this way.
Then, to go deeper, if it’s helpful, contemplate each of the following questions, allowing time to fully answer each one:
Carried by the angels. Are you feeling relieved that today is the end of this journey? Or does it make you sad? What have you learned? What would you like to have going forward from here? Are you glad to be ‘heading home’? Do you feel uplifted, as if on the wings of angels? Are you ready for resurrection, new life, as seen in an empty tomb? Will you celebrate Easter in a new way, having gone through this journey? Today, see all the signs of new life about to burst out around you, including the journey you just completed, and give thanks. God is good! All the time! All the time! God is good!
