As we continue on our journey through the Lenten wilderness, follow Jesus as he lives his 40 days in the desert.
Be open to what emotions today’s illustration invokes for you, what details catch your eye, and consider why you might be affected by it in this way.
Then, to go deeper, if it’s helpful, contemplate each of the following questions, allowing time to fully answer each one:
And angels attended him. Do you believe in angels? Have you ever felt a force of good around you? Have you ever wished there was such a force around you? Have you even just felt truly attended to, waited on, served? Do you recognize you’re worth it? Would you know how to accept such a gift if it was given to you? Do you recognize God’s gift of service to you through Jesus? Do you accept that gift of the one who would Never Give Up? Name an ‘angel among us’ – a person who has brought such love and service to your life and give thanks for them . . . give thanks to them.
